so besides the completely inept, blathering idiots behind the desks, who made me wait while they finished their phone conversations with taneekwa about "who was all up in their faces" last night, the pre-admission bs went fine.
the tech with her cheerful cartoon critters meandering about her scrubs in perky little poses was brought back down to the real world when i forcefully told her that i don't like having my blood taken, and unlike her predecessors, she would have one chance. after that i would not be staying. then i started shaking and crying which made her sufficiently nervous that i was the one mental case that would snap and chase her with the sharps container.
one shot. she got it in one shot. see? fear works. of course now i am waiting on the dr to see if the fever is going to be a problem. jeezy creezy, could something just go smoothly?
i was rewarded by the presence of the happy smiling amazon box in my mailbox when i got home. how i love that little amazon smiley face! my copy of eats, shoots and leaves was in the mailbox. yay! i am so excited to read this. yes, i know it is a book about punctuation. and yes, i know you can tack this onto the "you know you are a geek when..." list. but woohoo! it's here!
(if you haven't ever heard the joke that the title comes from i put it in the extended entry.)
