i did walk into one of the trees early in the morning while i was taking roxie out. i conveniently forgot that they were there. everywhere. taking over my yard and my house.

but the sun is shining and it is fall. hope everyone had a more enjoyable day on the autumnal equinox than we did. i was hoping to celebrate a little differently. i did manage to go out and celebrate with some warm apple crisp last night. This morning feels like Fall. The air is cool and crisp, the birds are singing, the chain saws are buzzing, the tree chippers are humming, the squirrels are racing around trying to find replacement housing and if weren't for the jungle that is lying about it would be beautiful outside my window. in fact, despite that jungle it is pretty damn nice out there. i am feeling, ummm, superb. (ok, i also got a bit of good news about school and my profs are being very understanding about all of this which has taken a lot of pressure off of me.)

we have even gotten a little closer with some of our neighbors, like short martini man and plaid boxer boy and his wife scary perm girl. see, we wouldn't have talked to them without something like this happening.

so today is studying and cleaning. i am hoping to get control over the inside of the house since obviously the outside is going to take a while.
