did a little furniture shopping this week.
this one for c:

and this one for j:

a little modern for me, but the boys love them. c's bed has the futon built-in underneath and we ordered the same futon for j's room as well.

they were delivered this morning and i am not even close to ready. so now i have a house full of boxes and futon mattresses. that means that tomorrow i need to gut c's room (scary closet and all!) and throw out/donate anything that suggests he is not a "big kid." i am dreading the actual project but it will be great to have everything organized and neat.

it also means that the murals** are going to be painted over. *sniff* the little guys are growing up. good thing i'm not getting any older ;)

because i can't wait to play with new toys--and the boys take after me--i built one of the futon chairs tonight and they are taking turns flopping on it and watching simpsons.
