had a fun weekend of baseball and bbq and family.

i was tricked into unnecessary cleaning when company backed out last minute saturday but at least now things don't look so frightening around here and i got to do one of my favorite kinds of shopping--organizer shopping. i love going on a spree of rubbermaid containers and drawer organizers. in my world i believe that the mere act of purchasing these items will ensure the immediate and continual organization of the entire house. and this will work one day, i am sure of it.

yesterday we went to visit my family for a bbq and some stress-free relaxing. we had a good time and all the boys played many many games!

why is that my husband insists on at least starting the drive home? why can't he just admit that he is tired and can't do it? i have to stare (glare?) at him watching and waiting until i see his eyes glaze over and his eyelids start to droop and his neck do that "what?! i'm awake!" kind of snapping thing. he only made it about 20 minutes this time before i got him to pull over and let me drive.

long drive. late drive. but the bonus of a car full of sleeping passengers is that i can set the dell dj to random and no one will whine about the music.
