i'm holdin' out for a hero 'til the morning light....

just got back from shrek 2.

i was afraid that they couldn't live up to the first one. but i shouldn't have been. it was the same sharp, funny writing. the same jokes that are never dumbed down for kids and plenty for the adults. c was laughing big deep belly laughs throughout the whole thing. j giggled and winked whenever he noticed a parody of another movie. it was just good fun.

the animation was stunning. the expressions on shrek make you want to hug him. and i don't care if antonio banderas is a cat in this movie (and a darn cute one)...that man's voice alone is worth the price of admission. lol. "beg for mercy from puss...in boots" mmmm. ok.

i won't give away any of the fun. but go on and see it and then we'll talk.
