testing?

Is there a stupidity test required to work at a bank???????

I just used some very colorful language to a customer service rep to describe my unhappiness with this situation.

I am so angry that I am shaking!

6 months ago they sent a letter that my account had been hacked into and in the interest of safety they would be issuing new cards. they did, we got one for me, never one for hubby.

i lost the card and had it turned off and requested a new one. over a month ago. still no card. when i call again today they tell me that the reason is that the original is corrupted but in a bank oversight they didn't shut it off. i tell them i still have it. a working card (unbeknownst to me) and she says:

"i am sorry but we need to shut that down"

i am leaving on vacation friday and need to have access to money.

"i am sorry but it is an unacceptable risk"

"so, it was fine for the 6 months previous, but for the next week it is an unacceptable risk??? the reason i don't have a new card is because of their incompetence, the least they can do is leave this damn card open for one more week while they fix their mistake!!!"

"we suggest money orders. i am sorry but we need to shut this card down"

"(&*^&^^*%(*&^*(%$%$%&^^&&^&* you!!!"

i slammed the phone so hard something cracked and i am sitting here fuming and shaking and ready to kill someone.

f-ing bank.
