For Boys Only: The Biggest, Baddest Book Ever by Marc Aronson and H.P. Newquist
OK - I'm not a boy. And, in all fairness, I skimmed this more than I read it. But For Boys Only: The Biggest, Baddest Book Ever by Marc Aronson and H.P. Newquist is a great book to have around for the boys in your life. It has an array of information from a list of the Presidents of the United States to Video Games to numerous dates in history to Diseases You Definitely Don't Want To Get to instructions on How To Land a Plane in an Emergency. This is the kind of book you want around for long car rides - it's easy to pick up and put down, and has entries that will entertain most kids (even girls) for hours on end. They'll have fun, and they'll learn a few things (both practical and otherwise) along the way.
