random scattered entry today:

- picked up my spiffy new glasses today. wow! so that's what the screen looks like. apparently i no longer have an excuse to procrastinate on the research--at least not that excuse. got a second pair for free(ha!) so i will be set for a good long while even if he dog gets hungry for a little eyeglasses snack again.


- went to bath and body works because i am weak and they always see me coming. "have you seen our new line?" sure, pick on the weak and the willpowerless! such clever schemes like letting me try a bit. do you suppose that buying hubby some "manly" hand lotion will cause him not to ask the dreaded "how much did you spend in there???" question?


- fixing all the computers in the house today. spent hours on the phone with dell tech support and so far it looks as if j will be off of my comp and back on his own by tonight! now i can waste time without the constant chatter of "is it my turn?""can i play now?"


- still coveting the little newly price reduced ipod mini....but right now my comp is being all persnickety and not recognizing the ipod at all. grrrrrrr. i don't want to shell out for another one if i can't figure out what's going on. but i do covet sleek new techy gadgets.


- anyone want to make me dinner?


- i have a brilliant plan to spend the entire spring break locked away finishing the research and rough draft for the research grant. i am sure that this is foolproof and will produce something spectacular, insightful, and witty.


- did i mention i look good in my new glasses and smell good enough that maybe hubby really won't ask how much i spent? lol. i need to stay out of that store.
