sat morning t-ball

it was that kind of the morning. the kind where a cool breeze was coming in the windows and the sheets just seemed to float over top of you. crisp and clean and perfect for sleeping. the kids were still quiet and whether they were sleeping or silently plotting to take over the world, as long as they were quiet we were willing to look the other way just this once.

and then the realization. sat morning is t-ball. ok, put on your bright happy t-ball face. c walks in and immediately starts saying he just wants to snuggle. he doesn't want to wake up and go to t-ball. tempting as that is...we trot out the ol' "your team is counting on you" and "you signed up, you have to honor that commitment" speeches.

half hour later we drag the family into the car with hats and bats and all the equipment (since hubby is the coach). i ask in the nicest way i can, without reminding him of the wrong field fiasco (much!) if he knows what field we are at. the kids are now starting to gnaw on each other in the back seat. whining is gearing up towards tattling and yelling....

what's that? check again.

hahahhahahha. no game today!

ok, everyone go work on the deck. hup, two three, four....

i'm goin back to bed
