NY Mets 2006 NL East Champions!!

I believe in the church of baseball. I've tried all the major religions and most of the minor ones.I've worshipped Buddha, Allah, Brahma, Vishnu, Siva, trees, mushrooms and Isadora Duncan. I know things. For instance, there are 108 beads in a Catholic's rosary and there are 108 stitches in a baseball. When I learned that, I gave Jesus a chance. But it just didn't work out between us. The Lord laid too much guilt on me. I prefer metaphysics to theology. You see, there's no guilt in baseball. And it's never boring, which makes it like sex...It's a long season and you gotta trust it. I've tried them all, I really have, and the only church that truly feeds the soul, day in, day out, is the church of baseball - Annie Savoy Bull Durham

another day of "rest"

note to self:

when considering a movie to watch/take a nap to please remember for future reference that sixth sense is not a good choice. yes, it's a good movie but do you really want to have that dream again?? *shivers*

so i get a phone call from someone who watched the boys once a while back and it seems she wants to stop by and pick up a bracelet that she left here a couple of months back. thankfully i know where it is. but it is probably the only thing i can find in the house of "mom is taking a few days off." so much for resting. a quick "holy crap someone is going to walk in here" cleaning and now i am more worn out than before my scary creepy haley joel osmont tormented nap!

oh well, the house looks better.
