One of the many reasons that I love House
"Of course she's crazy. But we can't just give her 10 ccs of atheism and send her home."

So who stays?
Which of House's "contestants" are going to make the cut? My bet is on the girl with the reddish blonde hair and number 6 9. I hope the annoying blonde who cheats and tattles gets voted off the island.
Any ideas? It is fun watching them try and out-"House" House to get the job. Maybe LDS guy will stay?

House comes out on top
Of all the premieres so far this week, and yes, I know it's only Tues., so far House is my favorite. He's just back. Just back and snarky and kidnapping patients and being House.
Great episode.
Classic House: "Didn't your girlfriend die this morning? Why are you still here?"
Loved Wilson and his genius kidnapping plan. Loved the memo(s) to the staff.
It's one of the returning shows that seems to realize that while changes are good, there's also a reason people tune in and you should be careful not to mess with characters that work.

Please don't go rationalizing things
House made me nervous last night. I don't want them to start explaining away House's motives or attitudes. I love him precisely because he doesn't make excuses. He is what he is and tells it like he sees it. Yes, he can be cruel, but he is always honest and never apologetic and he says the things that we wish we could get away with.
So while I appreciated the heart to heart with the creepy girl, please don't change him. I don't want to feel sorry for him. I want to envy him that grouchy, curmudgeonly freedom that he has.
Oh, but still a great episode for those of us dying for a little tv induced escape.

But there's always a good reason, right?
I kept wondering last night what we were supposed to make of House. Is it just withdrawal symptoms? He's often mean, rude and snarly but it is never without reason. He just cuts to the chase (no not Chase!).
So what do we make of last night and did you know that was who was going to turn on him? I kind of guessed but I think that Wilson thinks he is helping him or saving him or something along those lines.
All I know is that the detective is an asshat but he is to the police dept. what House is to the hospital so I guess that it's fitting.
Glad they didn't cut that arm, huh?
And House? Wrong? Things aren't looking good.

Justice or revenge?
So which was it? When House was pulled over, you knew it was that patient, right? You had to have seen that coming.
Somehow I never get mad at House. He acts out all the mean things that I censor and I gotta love him for that. Not sure how he will be getting out of the pill situation though.
Lost? Ewwwwww! I know I am a week late with this one but things here have been crazy. I almost flipped when they shoved that needle in Sawyer's chest. But I like that creepy Ben is conning the con artist and making Sawyer look like an amateur. I don't know if I buy the other island thing. Wouldn't they have noticed that?
Heroes continues to blow me away every week. Those "bio parents" were definitely not her real parents. Did you see how freaked out Claire's dad was with the "Save the Cheerleader. Save the World" message? And I never saw it coming. I never though for a second that pixie haircut girl was a bad guy! She was supposed to be helping. She shot the "exterminator" when he snuck into the prof's apartment! I just can't second guess this show ever. Love it!
Dancing with the Stars. Ok, it was Halloween and I didn't get to see most of the second dances. I was kind and let the boys tape a scary movie. Remind me not to do that again! Emmett continues to surprise me. Joey looked much better but still a bit robotic. Mario made me cry. Really. Tears. I love him when he is sexy and spunky but this new romantic side? Beautiful. Monique still bothers me with her "they're harder on me than on the guys" chip on her shoulder. Yes, she's good. But face it. It's harder if you're a girl in this competition. It wasn't a shock or surprise. I didn't see how she did in her second dance. I hated her first one. She didn't straighten her knees even one time and it looked like she was crouching through the whole thing.
Hopefully the results show will tape tonight while I am out without any glitches. My mom is babysitting tonight and doesn't know how to work anything electronic. Could be trouble.

Catching up on the DVR
I spent the morning, which I should have spent lugging junk up from the basement to the dumpster, catching up on the buildup of shows. Oh, the pressure to watch them all before the next episodes air! :)
This morning I caught up on:
Bones - I still love this show. I also still think he's just really Angel but, you know, all mortal now. When he says things about how he's killed in the past I just nod my head knowingly. This week's episode was disturbing. Yes, in a serial killery kind of way but also the way they keep changing the characters too quickly to suit storylines. I like Hodges and Angela but slow down. Give us a chance to enjoy the buildup. They are acting like 17yr old guys on a date. Sometimes we need a little more romancing than that. And we don't always need the obligatory romance on a show. Keep writing interesting, intriguing stories and we will keep watching. Is it just me? Anyone else feel like they are manipulating the characters too quickly just to change the direction of the show a little?
House: Love, love, love this week. Love Joel Grey. Love the way they tricked him. Love how he responded positively to Drs using the same approach he would have used even when it goes against what he wants. Love the last scene. Were you crying? Did you know already?
Vanished: I don't know. I might give up on this one. It just wants too much from me and I don't know if I have the energy or desire to invest in another show that I need to watch so intensely in order not too feel left behind. Anyone else watching?
Still have a few left to watch but I need to get some work done and stop giving in to the lure of the Now Playing list.
And TRAGEDY!! The DVR decided not to record Dancing with the Stars--both the show and the results show!! I was really looking forward to seeing them. Grrrrrrr.
