crappy cancellations

Gee thanks for the cancellation of most of my DVR shows. I know now I will have so much more time for pursuing intellectual goals.

Here's a short list of shows I watch that aren't coming back:

Dirty Sexy Money
Eli Stone
Pushing Daisies
Boston Legal

ABC? You suck. Just sayin'

I know that the second I start watching Dollhouse someone is going to pull the plug. Maybe it would be better if I just started watching Survivor. Then it would be canceled and the world would be a better place.

Best "new" shows this season

Yes, I know the season is well underway and the writers' strike wreaking havoc on programming, but let's just take a second, this far in, to remark on our new favorites:

Reaper - Watch it. Love it. Best new show of the season. It gets better every week. I know a lot of people are missing this because it is hiding over on the CW, but trust me, you should be watching.

Dirty, Sexy, Money--Yay! A grown up show that's fun and smart and keeps you guessing. Plus, bonus, it's a dysfunctional family that makes your family look like the damn Waltons in comparison. Great, dirty, sexy, fun.

Pushing Daisies-- Love, love, love this. Love Chi McBride whose facial expressions alone are worth watching the show for. Adore Kristin Chenowith. Perfect, she's just perfect. It's quirky and fun and completely different. Which, of course, means it will be soon cancelled and sold on DVD with "bonus episodes." Go watch while you can.

Journeyman - Yup, Time Traveler's Wife but somehow different. And he grows on you. Did you know she was going to be from the past? I never saw it coming. And that just makes it better.

Ooh....how could I almost forget....Private Practice--A spinoff that puts the original to shame. How hot was this week? Taye Diggs. 'nuf said. This is my guilty pleasure during the week.

So, which of the new shows have you stuck with and which did you kick off the DVR?
