It didn't even have to be good
I was so damn happy to have a new episode that I didn't even care about the parts that weren't exactly stellar.
It was good to be back to Wisteria Lane no matter what condition we found it in.
Susan still makes me want to smack her on her self-centered head. But I did enjoy the romp around the baseball diamond with Lynette. All in all I am just so happy to be watching something that didn't air over a year ago and isn't reality tv.
That said, I think I'll be happier than ever when Idol finally comes back!

Mom of the year
Orson's mom has made things a lot more lively at Bree's house. Andrew is making a little side cash as her dealer (ha!) and she is spilling secrets that we didn't see coming. I figured her to be blackmailing him about the murder. Thankfully Bree realized there are only so many "explanations" before it just doesn't matter any more.
I love Carlos as Mike's "best friend." Nothing like taking advantage of amnesia guy for a little Sunday afternoon loafing and football. I am glad that they found a way for Carlos to stick around. I miss Carlos and Gabby together. But...I adore Gabby with those kids. "Of course you have to be skinny! Have you ever seen a fat girl on the cover of a magazine?" "What am I supposed to do with this petting zoo??" Priceless.
Lynette did not make friends with Protector Man this week but just because she's paranoid doesn't mean she isn't right.
Susan was just weird. She's been weird too much lately. She bothers me.

Sunday's are still the best
I was stunned at the shooting on Desperate Housewives. I knew they wouldn't kill a main character, but I was still shocked. My first thought was how bad this is going to be for Lynette. Can you imagine the guilt? But then they showed that odd "she doesn't have nightmares anymore" dream sequence at the end so I don't know what to think.
Gabby and Carlos were a riot tearing apart the house. A little War of the Roses on Wysteria Lane.
I'm glad Susan's daughter finally yelled at her for not being a parent. Susan is a whiny pain in the ass.
Great episode though.
And guess what???
The damn DVR finally recorded Brothers and Sisters. I was starting to feel left out last night that I never met Tucker Booth. lol. Great writing on this show. I wish they wouldn't make the liberal guy a bad guy though. Let Kitty like him. I like him :)
Looking forward to Heroes tonight.

Is it something personal?
Why does my DVR hate this show? Why do I wake up every Monday morning eager for my Sunday shows only to find that Brothers and Sisters wasn't recorded again???
I checked it. It was all set. It was on the schedule. There weren't any conflicts. And then? Nothing.
For the record, my DVR apparently also hates How I Met Your Mother. I don't!!
At least I got to watch Desp. Housewives this morning. How I love all the manipulation. But Lynette, Lynette, Lynette. How could you fall for that? You're my hero. Wake up and see the hussy.
And Gabby? That was a bit cruel even for you. (Good thing the previews for next week seem to redeem you a bit!)

No longer desperate for good episodes
Wow! Desperate Housewives is back with a vengeance.
Lynette: Still my hero. Bribing the pitcher was sheer brilliance. And the look the coach gave her when she feigned offense at being asked for a bribe? Too funny. I loved her and Tom slipping each other a high five when he twisted his ankle. Parenting not at it's best but at least a little more realistic. C'mon, you would have offered up the bribe, maybe?
Carlos and Gabby: Carlos is right you know. They belong together. I loved the look on Carlos' face, sipping her drink and watching her being thrown into the cop car kicking and screaming. And I loved her face as he left her on the side of the road.
Bree and her biscuits. You had to see that coming, right? When the daughter was standing next to the history prof? Bree never has a shortage of family drama. Wait til she finds out the truth about her new husband.
Susan still gets on my nerves. I love Mike but it was more fun watching Edie curled up in bed with him filling his head with stories of Susan than it was to watch Susan come back to him. She was having a great time with a nice guy with a British accent and she made him feel bad. Not his fault. She's still my least favorite but there was some "she got what she deserved" type satisfaction.
Still, the show is off and rolling this season after a bit of a slow start and I am looking forward to Sunday nights again.
Lots and lots of fun!

Oh Bree, gardening just isn't going to help
I had to applaud Bree for trying to garden instead of tap that bottle of Chardonnay but I don't think it is going to help. Her little boy is coming back and I don't think it is going to be a good mix with that psychotic new hubby of hers. Ew. He creeps me out.
Gabby. How the hell does an actual person fit in a suitcase? I know she wouldn't exceed weight limits for luggage but still. And "Don't laugh. I saved a bundle on airfare..." was priceless. I love Gabby. Please, please keep her from looking as sad as she did and let her spar with Carlos. It looks like next week will give us just that.
I hope Susan loses Mike to Edie. She just bounced right into bed with the married guy who is so creepy he's having an affair while his wife is in a coma. Yes, I know, I know...poor them having to sit there month after month waiting for their loved ones to wake up. Too friggin' bad. And I am not looking forward to the "poor Susan and all her guilt" crap that's coming up. She irks me.
Love her daughter though and Edie's smart ass nephew. Haha. At least he put a shirt on for a bit.
Lynette remains my hero. Maybe because I always empathize with her, I don't know. But how can you not love her? Especially when she has to deal with her infant of a husband.
Better this week than last. Hopefully things are starting to get rolling again.

did I not post this week?
Don't panic. It isn't as if I haven't been watching TV. I have! I have! I have not been working, cleaning or being sporty, honest!
Gray's Anatomy: Oh hell yes! She get's both. Could there be a better answer? I mean besides them getting all covered in something slick and wrasslin' it out for us? Dating. What a great idea. Yay for this show. Yay for lots of fun watching them date and watching the men "compete." Yay, also for Burke's dad who not only manages somehow to put up with Burke's mom (yikes!) but also gives a subtle attagirl to Cristina.
Dances with the Stars: I know that Jerry is the weakest dancer, but let's face it...he has throngs of fans voting for him every week. He's not leaving easily. That said, Harry needed to go. I loved Lisa last season but Harry was just stiff and awful and had this damn chip on his shoulder. Ew--and he had some weird fake orange-y tan thing going on the completed the Ken action figure package. Yuck. So he's outta here, my rule breakers stay, and I am looking forward to this week.
Desperate Housewives: Stupid ass Bree. You get what you deserve this time. Could you please like someone that isn't f-ing psycho? Please? And Lynette? How I love you? Drinking and setting up Nora with Carlos was priceless. Carlos and Gabbie's baby was the best twist so far this season. I don't like Susan and her new whiny, clingy guy. I get it. Mike will wake up. There will be a triangle. Just pick Mike and be done with it. He's hot, he puts up with her crap. He can fix stuff with his shirt off around the house. Just pick Mike!
Brothers and Sisters: Still giving this a try. This week was a little slower as they established back stories but it was still good. We'll keep with it a bit longer.
Watched the catchup episode of Lost. The voice-over guy bugged the hell out of me but after watching I am very excited to see the season premiere. Can't wait!!
Oh, TiVo will be working overtime this week since the playoffs start and my Mets will be there!!
