Stunning, but not fixed

No, she wasn't my favorite, but Sabrina was a good dancer. But for everyone that is ranting and raving that the show is rigged and they won't watch again, no one ever said that it was strictly a show based on talent. The premise has always been that the judges scores counted for half, while fan votes made up the other half. If people didn't vote, either because they didn't like Sabrina or because they thought she was safe, then she goes home. Simple. Shocking and crazy, but simple.

I admit it. I didn't vote. And even if I did, it wouldn't have been for her. I tend to vote for my sentimental favorites, trying to keep them on the show. DwTS is as much about personality as it is about talent. The audience is a lot older than most Cheetah Girl fans. Combine that with the idea that most people thought she would be safe and Sabrina goes home.

The bigger stunner to me was Cameron in the bottom two! He's been consistently getting better and hey, he promised to take his shirt off! :) Marie and Jayne should have been in the red lights last night.

Lesson here? Vote.

Will I stop watching because it was a shocking result? No. Isn't that why we actually put up with the long, drawn out results shows? Aren't we looking for some big revelation? If it just plodded along predictably, no one would tune in.

Lift or no lift, time to go

So with Jayne and Tony still complaining about Carrie Ann's comments the other week, it seems they would like to imply that some of that ill will carried over to this week. I think not. Carrie Ann didn't give you a low mark because you handed her a highlighted rule book. She gave you a low mark because that was the saddest excuse for a jive they have seen in quite some time. I like Jayne--sort of. But putting your hair in a pony tail and wearing the disturbing "look at me I'm young" outfit doesn't make the jive any better. Don't get me wrong. I hope to hell I look even close to that good when I'm that age and that I can still (?) get out there and dance. But the jive was terrible for her. She looked forced and slow and sluggish. So they can knock that big chip off their shoulders and watch the tapes. It wasn't any good. And I thought the judges were actually generous.

Still love Jennie Garth. I know she's a sentimental favorite with me but at least she is continuing to improve. Go Jennie!

Marie was so much fun to watch in the group dance (wasn't everyone!) but I don't think this was her best week and I am betting on Jayne and Marie for the bottom two this week. Sorry Marie. I love you. Maybe you could be the cohost next season instead of the blundering Samantha. Wouldn't that be a lot of fun??

The judges were right (don't let that get around!) about little miss Cheetalicious. Yes, she is growing on me but last night was too feisty for a fox trot. It needed a little more elegance, a little more class, honestly, a little more maturity. I'm sure she'll be fine though.

Spice and Max get on my nerves. Great dance but I just don't like them and I really don't think they like each other very much.

Helio was back to being him but those pants. Eek! And the thought of Len in those pants?? Very disturbing.

I thought Cameron did great last night. I don't know what was up the judges butt on that one. He is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Have you seen Marie's spoofs online? Cameron is a riot in the second one. Go have a look at them. Very funny stuff. Plus, I'll vote for him if he is promising to dance without the shirt. Seriously, it's worth it :)

I adored the group dance. It was so much fun. They were all "cast" very well and it was the best group dance I've seen yet on the show. Usually they are a bit more painful to watch.

At least he didn't fight...

Floyd is history. No one is surprised--not the audience, not Floyd and certainly not Karina who was so bored and disinterested that she was making faces and picking at her costume, just waiting for the announcement.

Was he athletic, yes. But face it--he couldn't dance. His hunched over shoulders, while serving to protect him in the ring, made him look a bit like a monkey on the dance floor. No matter how enthusiastic he was, he never carried himself like a dancer, he never even faked it well.

So, at least he's gone. And while I thought Mark would have been in danger, I wasn't as surprised as the judges to see Mel B in the bottom two. She is not bad at dancing but her personality is off-putting and she isn't a big fan favorite. This is as much a personality contest as it is a dance contest.

That being said...go Jenny! She has looked so much better the last two weeks. I don't think she'll win, but I'm glad she's hanging in there.

I think it will come down to Helio, Sabrina and maybe one surprise contestant who really steps it up. Still not feeling all "cheetalicious" but I admit that she is dancing the hell out of this competition.

Thank you for a little common sense voting

So glad it was Wayne that went home! I understand that people like him, I don't necessarily understand why though. He seems like a nice enough performer but he is just from another generation--a generation of slicker, Vegas acts. It was the right choice for him to go. Cheryl looked less than happy about her partner this season but I guess you can't win all the time, 'eh?

Also, I was thrilled that Jennie Garth came out and wowed them this week with that Tango. Last week's fall was a nightmare and she came back this time with a vengeance. Loved it.

Then again, I loved Helio and Julianna and it didn't seem that the judges did. I think he is fantastic. How fun if the competition comes down to brother and sister? Not likely, but fun.

Cheetah girl is still doing well. I admit it. I don't like it, but I admit it.

I was surprised to see Mark not in the bottom two. Not sure how long he will be around. Nice guy, but honestly, when it comes down to it, he isn't nearly as good as the competition around him.

Girls will win this year unless Helio sneaks in there. That's my prediction.

And yet, Wayne stays

The fact that Albert left and Wayne is still standing just means that people are voting for sentimental favorites at this stage of the show. I don't necessarily have a problem with that since I am still cheering on Jennie Garth. But, you know, if you're going to have sentimental favorites, I do wish they would line up with mine! And what's the deal with Wayne? Why so popular for so long? He's slick and plastic and fake and just odd. I don't get it. Aside from Vegas Vacation, I really haven't seen a lot of reason to get so attached. Obviously, I am not a Wayniac. Just sayin'.

I am starting to think that the real competition will come down to little miss cheetalicious and Helio. And while I am doing my best to not like anything Cheetah Girls, I have to admit that she is growing on me. And since I have always avoided Nascar, I didn't even know who Helio was until DWTS. So, I'll keep cheering on my old 90210 buddy but realistically, I think it will come down to the others.

Floyd reminds me of a monkey when he dances. But since he is a very hard-hitting and scary monkey I am just going to say, "Go Floyd." You know, just in case.

Also, Marie looked hot this week. She didn't even look a little bit country and Mr. "A Little Bit Rock n Roll" was there cheering her on. How cute was that?

It's on! It's on! Ready. Set. Dance!

I am more excited than I should admit about the Dancing with the Stars premiere. I think I'd like Drew to stay!

So let's get down to it. New contestants. New pros. I'm giddy.

Jennie Garth and Mark Hough - I am going to root for her no matter what. Sentimental favorite and I am always going to want her to win more than a Spice Girl or a Cheetah Girl. But besides the sentiment I thought she did pretty well. Obviously the first week and nerves and confidence were a factor but she looked beautiful and danced ok. She just needs a little oomph and I think that will come if she sticks around long enough. And can we talk about Mark?? Oofah. He's adorable!

Josie Maran and Alex Mazo - Well, they're pretty, huh? Human nature is for women to want to root against the super model. Oh c'mon, admit it. You're petty too, right? And you had to enjoy her being clutzy. It just seems fair. Poor baby is thin but not strong and has to go to boot camp. Alex already looks tired of her and I think he knows this isn't his season...again. And then they danced and she is gorgeous and elegant, not a very good dancer, but I wish I looked that good "learning" to dance. She does need a lot of work. She may also suffer from women not wanting to vote for her. She won't last too long unless she gets a lot better.

Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas - I am too old to have any interest in the Cheetah girls and honestly, Raven? Makes me cringe. I hate her pantomiming, overacting, nonsense. So I am, again, predisposed to disliking this pair. Damn, I sound awful bitchy tonight. Did she say "cheetalicious?" Ugh. And he said he was a "dancing ninja?" Ew. Ew. Ew. Too little of a dress. She isn't petite and she has an odd shape. But...and I say this grudgingly...she is sharper than the others so far. I don't know about the damn hip hop stuff but she at least came out and danced like she was in a competition. She'll stay. And the audience needs to stop booing when the judges say she shouldn't be doing hip hop. They're right. We'll see how she does next week.

Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts - I didn't know what to think. I watched her when she was a little bit country and I was hoping that she could pull off a little bit ballroom. She's silly and funny. She makes me smile. She is an entertainer and she looks like she is having fun. Was she perfect? No. But she learned it and performed it and I think she will be a crowd favorite for a little while at least. Classy, yet sassy. A lovely present. Adorable. I'm glad.

(ooooh. Grey's Anatomy premiere looks like it will be a lot of fun!)

Mel B and Maksim Chmerkovsiky - Bad boy of ballroom? ok. I guess. I like him. Don't like her. Don't squeal. haha. Don't like the skipping. Weird shoulders. Footwork isn't as sharp as Cheetah girls. I just don't like her. The judges seem to like her more than I do. Scores are higher than I think they should be. Blech. How can we vote for someone whose music is used to torture people?

(Anyone else disturbed by the weird remake of the Welcome Back Kotter theme as a Pringles commercial? Also, Dirty, Sexy, Money looks great and even if it looked so-so I would watch it to see Nate from Six Feet Under. I miss that show...)

Jane Seymour and Tony Dovolani - He's one of my favorites and she's more charming than I remember. Plus, I loved her since Somewhere in Time. So graceful. I sure as hell hope I look that good at 56. Hell, I wish I looked that good now. Elegance personified.

So which girl goes? My vote is for Josie Maran. Super model? Feh. Not going to cut it here. Go on and have a donut. It's ok.

It's going to be very, very close!

If Joey had really pulled off that cha-cha, this would be a no brainer. But...with Apolo and Julianne doing so well, this one is too close to call.

Laila blew it last night with her freestyle. I agree with the judges, even though it pains me to say that, she should have stuck with her strengths. I know she seems to think that her strengths lie in bringing something "funky" to the dances. But if the judges have been telling you all season that they don't like that, that they like when you dance with elegance and style, why would you think they would like that freestyle? Shame on you Max for choreographing that for her and not sticking to something that would showcase her talents. On the bright side, I was never rooting for her to win so it's all ok with me. I like her, I just didn't like her attitude some weeks and as the competition went on I didn't see her as the winner.

Apolo and Julianne's first number was much better than the judges gave them credit for. I thought it was sharp and crisp and well done. And they are just so damn beautiful to watch! I wasn't as impressed with their freestyle as the judges were though. It was fun, yes, but I always feel like a little street dancing goes a long way, even in the freestyle.

Look at Joey. His freestyle was fun and amazing and included actual ballroom dancing. It wasn't stuffy because he demonstrated a skill level. It was great. His personality shone through every move. That ChaCha really did him in. Luckily, that freestyle with those amazing lifts, might save him.

So who will win? My heart still belongs to Joey but I am thinking that Apolo might just take it. Laila won't take home that shiny mirror ball unless she has a giant fan base behind her. Last night's performance alone won't be enough.

And hey?! It's over already?! Didn't the season just start?

Time to move on to "So You Think You Can Dance!"

Steve Sanders deserved better

A 60? For Laila? Really? Her first dance with Max was well done and deserved the high marks. But the second one was dull and flat and nowhere near a 30. The more I see of them, the less I like them, so I am hoping that the voting goes in favor of Ian.

Ian has improved dramatically over the last few weeks. Is he as good as Joey? Nah. Is he as good as Apolo? Nope. But he shouldn't have been at the bottom of the board last night. He was easily as good or better than Laila. C'mon, he wore the Elvis wig. Would you have done that? And not only did he wear it, he rocked it. Go Ian.

Apolo and Julianne were energetic and wonderful as always but I almost agree with Len about the second dance. It may have been a bit over the top. That doesn't mean that I wasn't clapping my hands with glee at the hip shaking goodness, it just means that I think it may have been a little much for the competition. Still love them.

But Joey, oh Joey. He is just my favorite. Of all the dancers, he is the performer in the crowd. I dare you not to smile while he is dancing. It can't be done. That jive was so much fun. Who else could rock the bright yellow suit? And the fox trot was elegant and smooth and every woman wishes someone would take them for a spin around the dance floor like in the old movies? Yes? Ok, maybe just me, but as tough as it is to vote for just one, if I had to, it would be Joey and Kym.

I haven't seen it all yet

...but I've seen enough to know that it's time for Billy Ray to go home now. He's starting to cause me to have achy-breaky eyes. I know he's a good guy but he just isn't a good dancer. Last night you just had to feel sorry for him. He was really taking it personally. But please, don't let your compassion cloud your good sense. He isn't even close to the level of the other four couples.

Still easy to choose who should go

So Ian just isn't thrilling the judges, and I get that, but I think it is because he is too intense on this as a competition. I think he could do well if he was just having more fun. Look at the group swing. Oh, and shame on you ABC for leading everyone to believe that Joey and Ian were fighting during rehearsals. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

Anyway, Laila was good but please no more of those moves in a dress that almost counts as a tube top, 'k?

Ian was strangely tense but not as bad as some. Telling him to watch Billy Ray was too funny. Sure Billy Ray has fun. I could have fun but dancing is another thing.

Joey is still one of my favorites. I adore this guy.

Apolo looked amazing as always and I think has the best chance to win this thing.

Heather irks me. She just does. She looked as if she were doing a string of single moves, not a dance. She would do one. Stop. Do another. Stop. Move arms. Check. Place feet. Check. Blech.

So this week the bottom will be John and Heather and sadly enough I think it will be John that leaves. He's a great sport but it's time. Next in line? Heather and Billy Ray.

April 18, 2007

Hey! Be nice to Ian!

Was it just me or did anyone else think they were pretty harsh on Ian last night? He looked great. One of the best out there and he got barely a better score than Heather. Heather?!

I don't have time for a full rant since I am supposed to be unpacking but I still like Ian in this thing. Apolo looked amazing and deserved the 10s. Laila was much better this week. Joey still rocks.

Other than that..see ya! Billy Ray was painful to watch! Sweet guy, wish him well and all that but he has feet made of concrete.

So glad that Clyde is history. I would imagine Billy Ray is next followed by Heather. Let's see what happens.

April 10, 2007

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the judges table

or someone had his knickers in a twist.

Geez, the judges were grouchy last night. Then again, there wasn't a lot of spectacular dancing to be had last night. Despite bad performances I think there was some horrific judging going on. Completely inconsistent from dancer to dancer.

Some of the early favorites looked awkward and weird. Laila just didn't have it together last night and I would have thought that the Paso Doble would have been a great dance for her. But remember it was the downfall for Vanessa Williams.

Leeza looked like she was phoning it in and Heather continues to irk me. Yes, we get it. Leeza'a 50 and Heather has one leg and it's brave and admirable that they are in the competition. But let's face it. It's a dance competition and it's time for them to tango on home.

Clyde gave back a little attitude to the judges for accusing him of not trying but if your partner is complaining that you aren't trying, the judges are complaining that there's no effort and you are dancing as if you would rather be at the dentist having a root canal then I think maybe you're done too. Honestly, didn't it sound as if he would rather be out golfing next week than back dancing again? I know he has a strong fan base but maybe they should be kind and put him (and us) out of his misery.

John was odd. He just isn't built for ballroom dancing. He's built to be the piggy bank in Toy Story. Or the abominable snowman. But not the matador in a Paso. And I know he was going for character but unless his character was supposed to be creepy and weird, I don't think he got there.

Apollo is charming and adorable and I thought they were very romantic. He still doesn't quite have the posture but he has the grace and technique and will get there. Plus, the two of them just ooze cuteness.

Billy Ray. Oh, Billy Ray. I would hate to see you go now. Crazy talk, I know. But he grows on you. He won't win. He won't even be close. But on a week when so many were phoning it in, you have to give the guy credit for getting better. Not his dance, but she choreographs well for his particular style, or lack of. I hope he gets rewarded for his effort and attitude this week.

And then there were two that actually danced.

Ian was charmingly awkward. He managed not to be the class clown and waltzed elegantly. They were beautiful and graceful and classic.

Joey is still my favorite though. Have to love the geekiness and cheesiness that is Joey Fatone. That and the boy can actually dance. It was the only dance all night that had me cheering along at home. He was very hot and what a presence. That's what a Paso should be. My favorite Paso since Drew's Thriller.

So who should go? Clyde should go but Leeza probably will. I'd be fine with either. I think that John could, and should, be in danger this week as well.

April 03, 2007

Nothing tops a Star Wars tango

Sure it was a cheesy gimmick. But it worked. Joey danced an impressive tango and wielded a light saber--what more could you ask for? Easily, my favorite performance of the night. And did anyone else catch the little bit of R2D2 schwing? Go R2.

Laila looked good as always but there are some attitude problems there that make me nervous.

I'm already over Shandi. She's pretty but dull. And her dancing isn't that great.

Heather did well but I am tired of saying, "Look how well she did for someone with one leg." Was that a good jive for anyone else? No. She obviously can't point her toes, etc. I understand that and I give her a lot of credit for getting out there. But it seems unfair to judge her on a different level. Either she is in this competition the same as everyone else or she has to go home. And it's nice that she has enough money to just run out and buy a new bouncy leg, isn't it?

Apollo was fun and they are still adorable. Ian had the most energetic, classic jive of the night. The camera really didn't show us the misstep so I don't know what all the fuss was about but I think the scores were unfair. Heather Mills and her "look how well adjusted I am" walkover and dull jive get the same score as Ian? Yeah, that seems right :/

Clyde is done. Leeza looked better but she's still weird even if she is flashing her new tattooed booby. Billy Ray still looks clunky even with the slick hair. "E" for effort is nice but it isn't going to win anything.

I still think Ian, Joey, Apollo and Laila are the top contestants and everyone else is doomed to having just one bad week that sends them home.

This week it's bye bye basketball guy.

Looks like Billy Ray is the next Sanjaya

Even Billy Ray looked stunned not to be in the bottom two. Now see? The punishment for bad voting is that we have to watch Billy Ray dance...again.

Recap shows are generally dull and this was no exception. Thankfully TiVo lets me get right to the good stuff--or in this case the stuff.

I am glad that the competition seems to be pretty even in the top 5 or so. Should be a fun season.

Dancin' again

I don't have a lot of time but I wanted to get a quick post in about the first night of Dancing with the Stars.

Ian and Cheryl. Yay, for Steve Sanders, I mean Ian for having to go first and doing a good job. He has potential and I will always have a soft spot for the old 90210 gang. I think it is going to be tough for them to win even with or maybe because of Cheryl's previous two wins. They are going to be tough on her.

Laila and Maksim. Laila Ali scares me a little bit and I would imagine that the two of them are going to but heads and/or egos during this competition but she danced much more gracefully than I would have thought. She looked stunning. And she is going to rock the Latin dances!

Billy Ray and Karina. Billy Ray, oh boy. That was some Achey Breaky dancing. Gah. Hopefully he can do better but I don't see it happening. Look for Billy to be the first one to go. Hey Karina...where's Mario? Curious minds want to know.

Clyde and Elena. Meh. He was ok. There was some class and style there but it didn't seem to come naturally. I think he can do better but he won't be Emmitt.

Joey Fatone and Kym. Joey Fatone was the surprise for me. I was never an *NSYNC fan so I didn't really know who he was. But he's fun! And more than that, he's fun and he can dance. I like him to win so far but anything could happen.

Shandi. I was prepared to hate her. I really was. But she's not that bad. Their smiles were almost painful and I am not sure how they will be at the latin dances but she's ok. Barbie and Ken! lol.

Leeza and Tony. Leeza is my other "please go home now" vote. She just bothers me. She's awkward and fake and didn't do that well. I don't think she will go home first but she won't last long.

Heather Mills and Jonathan. I keep finding myself thinking that she did really well for someone with only one leg. But I think she did pretty well for someone with two. I am just not sure that I like her yet. We'll see how it goes. Ugly dress. Seriously ugly dress.

Apolo and Julianne. Could this be a cuter couple? Look for them to be hooking up on air within a few weeks. He can dance too. I thought they were fun and as he gets better they will be tough to beat. I could have done without the Ralph Macchio, Karate Kid, do-rag but other than that I loved them.

Paulina and Alec. I really wanted to hate her. Don't we generally want to dislike supermodels? But she is genuinely goofy and I loved that. I thought she did very well and hope that she can handle the Latin dances. I don't think she will win but she is fun.

John and Edyta. What a good sport Cliff Claven is--stepping in and taking over and doing it with class. On top of that? He didn't look that bad. I love that the judges all said how surprised they were that he wasn't terrible. I'm not sure if that's a compliment. Better than Jerry but he won't last too long.

Just happy that they are all back and dancing. It always makes me want to take some lessons. Then I think about what Paulina said. She said something along the lines of "It's like stepping into your favorite TV show and it's just like you think it's going to be only you aren't as good as you thought you were going to be." I'll watch for now.

close but not together, 'k?

Booth is hot. Of course he is, because he's Angel and we know Angel is hot. (Not quite as hot as Spike, but...)

Ok, sidetracked for a minute.

Anyway, last night's Bones was hot. And as long as you weren't looking for too much reality, clever. I mean, if you are going to be buried underground it's best to get buried with really smart people who can MacGyver their way out of there.

I am enjoying the flirting but please, please don't make this all about the relationship. Remember what happened to Moonlighting when they finally hooked up? Yup, the show tanked. No more tension, no more show. (What? You aren't old enough to remember Moonlighting? Feh!)

So let some of them hook up, but Bones and Booth? They need to just keep the tension. Tension is good.

Still mourning the loss of weekly Mario. I did find all the dances on You Tube so that's something. Those dimples, those hips, that smile. Yes, Emmett was charming and entertaining but at the end of the day Mario is a better dancer.

I'm a slacker, I know

I haven't been posting. I will. Honest.

But I have just one thing to say for now....

Mario was robbed!

Justice or revenge?

So which was it? When House was pulled over, you knew it was that patient, right? You had to have seen that coming.

Somehow I never get mad at House. He acts out all the mean things that I censor and I gotta love him for that. Not sure how he will be getting out of the pill situation though.

Lost? Ewwwwww! I know I am a week late with this one but things here have been crazy. I almost flipped when they shoved that needle in Sawyer's chest. But I like that creepy Ben is conning the con artist and making Sawyer look like an amateur. I don't know if I buy the other island thing. Wouldn't they have noticed that?

Heroes continues to blow me away every week. Those "bio parents" were definitely not her real parents. Did you see how freaked out Claire's dad was with the "Save the Cheerleader. Save the World" message? And I never saw it coming. I never though for a second that pixie haircut girl was a bad guy! She was supposed to be helping. She shot the "exterminator" when he snuck into the prof's apartment! I just can't second guess this show ever. Love it!

Dancing with the Stars. Ok, it was Halloween and I didn't get to see most of the second dances. I was kind and let the boys tape a scary movie. Remind me not to do that again! Emmett continues to surprise me. Joey looked much better but still a bit robotic. Mario made me cry. Really. Tears. I love him when he is sexy and spunky but this new romantic side? Beautiful. Monique still bothers me with her "they're harder on me than on the guys" chip on her shoulder. Yes, she's good. But face it. It's harder if you're a girl in this competition. It wasn't a shock or surprise. I didn't see how she did in her second dance. I hated her first one. She didn't straighten her knees even one time and it looked like she was crouching through the whole thing.

Hopefully the results show will tape tonight while I am out without any glitches. My mom is babysitting tonight and doesn't know how to work anything electronic. Could be trouble.

October 19, 2006

Seriously? You made us wait 'til the end for that?

And the one with the least amount of votes and therefore leaving the show tonight is....

no one?

I know that the sudden exit of Sara left them scrambling but my opinion is that it might have been Joey and Edita at the bottom this week. And puhleaze! You know that's insane. Jerry over Joey?!? We have one week to convince people to stop voting for Jerry. Hell, even Jerry wants people to stop voting for him.

Gah. I was surprised that it was Joey in the bottom two and not Monique but he was a little weird this week with the faux sexy. He needs to loosen up and have some fun.

Emmitt was fun and spunky as always. He could be in there at the end with his appeal and his fan base.

Mario wins hands down if we are going to judge them on talent alone. Love, love, love watching him dance.

I am just hoping that the inmates don't vote this week and Jerry gets to go home. He was a good sport but enough is enough.

October 12, 2006

Again I ask....

are you people on crack??!?!?!?!

I get it. People love Jerry. But even he doesn't want to stay any more and sending Willa home instead of Jerry was just bullshit pure and simple. She was amazing this week. Sexy, classy, beautiful.

It's just crap.

Jerry is fun and a good sport but it makes this show a lot less enjoyable to watch when it doesn't matter at all who can dance.

Bad, bad voters. I am very disappointed in you. I think you need a time out. (Not you, of course, I know you didn't vote so foolishly)

October 11, 2006

So how many of them do actually hook up?

Because they were so damn hot last night someone has to be getting some, right?

Joey - I thought he looked like he was going to break out into a fit of giggles the whole time. Technically he is one of the best contestants but he just has to let go a little more. If he does...he will be tough to beat. And damn....those arms....

Willa - I didn't like her in the beginning. I just really didn't care. But now? She's one of my favorites. She is adorable and sexy and talented. And c'mon...you know they are hooking up. This was her best week yet. She's lost trashy and moved to sexy. Good move.

Sara - Better this week than the Phantom fiasco. She has the moves down but now I want her to really do them. It's almost as if she's too shy. Give it a little more oomph. Shake that ass dammit.
And how funny was Tony at the hockey game. Could he look any more out of place? The hot dog looked as if it was repulsive to him. Too funny.

Mario - OMG! I need a cold shower. Because it's Mario. Saved by the Bell, Mario. He's "I'm finally 21!" Mario. 21!! And it's just not right that they are that hot. Another couple that are definitely getting some. He was just so beautiful to watch. She is so graceful and well, flexible. Amazing.
"Intense. Throbbing and Masterful." hahahaha.

Jerry - First off. I don't ever want to see him in a bathing suit again--pale or not. And he never did get that shake down. He does, however, get points for going out there and not being afraid to look silly, for having more character and heart than talent and for being a really good sport. That said, please stop voting for him because of his show and just let the man go home. Even he would probably appreciate it by now. "Please let the inmates vote. Let them make just one call." Priceless.

Monique - She looked good. I don't know why I don't like her more. There's just something. This was easily her best week and that ending? Wow. She's graceful and talented. Still just not my favorite. Maybe it's her and Louie that I don't like. Maybe it's that it always feels like she's acting. She deserves to stay though.

Emmett - He might just be the most adorable man, ever. When he smiles it is completely contagious. Plus...he can actually dance. He's fun and he gets it. I loved him doing a party dance. I want him at our next party. He is just so much fun.

My picks for bottom two: Jerry and Sara
Who do I think we be in the bottom two: Sara and Monique

I hope she doesn't go all Kill Bill on everyone

Holy hell! I didn't Tivo the results show because I was watching the Mets win. It's the postseason and I have priorities.

But I was just sitting here and thought...hmmm...I wonder who went this week. I am sure that it was Jerry or Sara.

What the hell were people thinking??!?!?!?! Did people just think that she didn't need the votes? Are they on crack?

She was one of my choices for the top spot. I thought she was great. A little weaker this week, I admit, but not bad enough to get the boot.

I am stunned!

Saved by the hips

I know, I know. He's the kid from Saved by the Bell but holy hell did you see those hips? Mario is just amazing and this was the perfect dance for him. I was afraid that they were going to yell at him again. They looked so stern before judging but they were just messing with him. Oh, and please don't spank him over the judge's stand, 'k?

Vivica looked strong but not Spanish. I think she is easily the best female in the competition but as strong as last night's performance was she has been better other nights.

Sara is heading home this week. She is like a lump out there. I know she thought she was being serious and in character but she looked awful. Bad dance for her but she can't go stomping and jiving around in boots every week and she is going to have to learn to bring it with other styles.

Joey was great. I didn't think he could pull off a waltz but he did well. I think he is more fun in other dances but he certainly held his own.

Emmett was adorable as ever but I wonder how long adorable will hold up?

Jerry had me in tears. Good tears though. Who woulda thunk...he's a nice guy.

Don't like Monique. Not sure just why but there's something about her.

So I would say Sara goes home this week. That's fine with me.

did I not post this week?

Don't panic. It isn't as if I haven't been watching TV. I have! I have! I have not been working, cleaning or being sporty, honest!

Gray's Anatomy: Oh hell yes! She get's both. Could there be a better answer? I mean besides them getting all covered in something slick and wrasslin' it out for us? Dating. What a great idea. Yay for this show. Yay for lots of fun watching them date and watching the men "compete." Yay, also for Burke's dad who not only manages somehow to put up with Burke's mom (yikes!) but also gives a subtle attagirl to Cristina.

Dances with the Stars: I know that Jerry is the weakest dancer, but let's face it...he has throngs of fans voting for him every week. He's not leaving easily. That said, Harry needed to go. I loved Lisa last season but Harry was just stiff and awful and had this damn chip on his shoulder. Ew--and he had some weird fake orange-y tan thing going on the completed the Ken action figure package. Yuck. So he's outta here, my rule breakers stay, and I am looking forward to this week.

Desperate Housewives: Stupid ass Bree. You get what you deserve this time. Could you please like someone that isn't f-ing psycho? Please? And Lynette? How I love you? Drinking and setting up Nora with Carlos was priceless. Carlos and Gabbie's baby was the best twist so far this season. I don't like Susan and her new whiny, clingy guy. I get it. Mike will wake up. There will be a triangle. Just pick Mike and be done with it. He's hot, he puts up with her crap. He can fix stuff with his shirt off around the house. Just pick Mike!

Brothers and Sisters: Still giving this a try. This week was a little slower as they established back stories but it was still good. We'll keep with it a bit longer.

Watched the catchup episode of Lost. The voice-over guy bugged the hell out of me but after watching I am very excited to see the season premiere. Can't wait!!

Oh, TiVo will be working overtime this week since the playoffs start and my Mets will be there!!

Not even a little surprised, were you?

They could try all they wanted to to create suspense but at the end of the day you just knew it would be Tucker heading home.

And Jerry, I was enjoying you for the entertainment value. Don't overplay the "Who me? I get to stay? Why?" kind of crap. It will wear thin if the idiots just keep voting you in for fun.

Off to a good start.

I still like Emmitt, Vivica, Mario, Joey.

We'll see what next week brings.
