Irish saints and delayed openings

It is far too late in the year to worry about which parent stays home to "wait for the start of school".
This snow has already caused me too much strain. Last night, with my boss' poor decision to keep night school open (until the eleventh hour when he decided maybe we should have cancelled ~ now they are all on the road already on their way) created a wasted night.
* at least two car accidents (minor)
* two faculty members did not make it (leaving me in the classroom all night instead of at my desk getting my stuff done)
* less than 1/3 of the student body attended, making it worthless for anyone to actually teach anything
* as it was still snowing, we dismissed at 8 pm when the major traffic was cleared.
* it took me 2 hours to get home on very icy, snowy, miserably neglected back country roads (I love living in the country ~ I do)
* Now there is a 2-hour delay

So, how's everyone else's day?

Good things:
*HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

* Got my new Dell yesterday!! Hooray! No time to hook it up (work is always getting in my way)
*only 10 more days 'till puppy day!
