Besides the rain early on that cancelled baseball, the weekend was actually cool, crisp and very Autumn-like. We went for pumpkins, went bowling and took the dogs for many walks past the new house.

Don't worry. We're not stalking. No one was home and we were just enjoying looking at the real estate sign that no longer says "For Sale" but now swings in the Fall breeze and reads "Under Contract."

This pic is actually from last weekend when we took the boys and pups to the park with the dog park. I just got a few more posted. It's been too long since I posted a pic of the pups. I still need to take one of them in their glow-in-the-dark halloween t-shirts.

Today is obviously the day before Halloween. Ways that you can tell this?:

• fabric from one end of the house to the other and also stray straight pins (ouch!), pattern pieces, thread, etc.


• tombstones in the yard


• cds of scary halloween music on loop in stereo


• fog machine all cranked up and ready to go


• too much candy for the weak to resist lying about on the counter
