Ah, nothing quite as fun as getting the royal runaround from the Twp., impound lot and DMV. You don't think they are stalling to get more money do you? I mean, just because I have to pay a daily storage fee? I am sure they are doing their very best to expedite matters. It's not like the car is loaded with drug paraphernalia. It's filled with bags of clothes and boxes of books for donation. Feh.**
In the meantime, since I can't leave until the nice officer calls me back, I have scratched many tedious items off the household drudgery checklist and posted my RfP Wednesday review.

For anyone who is curious, they want me to go to DMV and register the car for one hour!! I am donating the car to charity and it will be parted out, never driven on the road again (which breaks my heart but that's another story). I can't donate the car without a release for the impound lot. I can't get a release without consent from the Twp. I can't get consent without a registration. I applied not to register and am still waiting while many non-helpful people grunt at me on the phone and say charming things like "not my problem" or "we don't handle that."
I could need bail money by dinner time.
