I have mentioned it before. I am a compulsive list maker. I often use list making as a means of procrastinating. 'Cause, you know, I am working on something if I am making a list, right? Part of it is a means of coping with ADD. Anyone who has ADD knows that there are some things you need to do like keeping your keys and wallet in the same place every single time or you will never find them. Lists are another part of this.
Lately though, I am pretty sure that I am making lists that include making other lists. And today I am so tired and PMS-y that my lists include crazy small things that normal people don't need to be reminded of. "Eat lunch." "Get a shower." And still? I enjoy my smug sense of accomplishment when I cross those off.
Could be a bit of birthday dread sneaking in as well. My birthday list for Sparky included things like "no stress for the day" and "be nice." Hey, those are free, require no shopping or wrapping and are guaranteed to be a hit!
Anyone else lost without their lists?
