rainy day cures and indulgences

I am giving in to the rainy day and switching to comfort mode.

A few rainy day indulgences:

A copy of The Producers Mostly for me for later to feed my inner musical geekiness
A copy of Nanny McPhee. An adorable story and a film full of lush colors and rich characters. Plus, a movie where kids learn to listen? Good plan.
A brand spankin' new copy of my favorite book A Prayer for Owen Meany - John Irving. I have purchased more copies of this book than I can remember. But this one is different! Really! Besides, I seem to have lent my copy out....again. As soon as I finish Blamesless in Abaddon - James Morrow I am going to dive right in. A good summer reread. If anyone is interested in reading either of those as a reading group book let me know and I will open the reading group back up. Good books...c'mon...read with me.
Yummy comfort food indulgences were not to be forgotten. We stopped at Panera Bread for some fresh bread and a quart of potato soup. MMmmmm. Grilled cheese and soup for dinner. That's worth a rainy day.

So the plan is some good movies, comfort food and an evening in a cozy room with a good book and some of my favorite candles burning. C'mon rain. Do your worst.**
