A busy day of doing nothing and getting lots done. We managed to sleep in this morning 'til 8:30 and after that the day flew by.

In between rain storms we planted a bit, got the hitch installed on my car, Sparky rebuilt the playhouse (repairing some storm damage), built my new bike rack and we set up the new tent.

Then we meandered to the fields for a pick-up game where C hit four home runs and tromped the other team! (Kids against the Dads!)

In a strange display of social skills I invited everyone--kids and adults--back to the house for dinner and s'mores. Look at that. I was social.

We sat around the fire roasting marshmallows and relaxing 'til we looked at the time and realized that we had four sugared up kids and it was after 11. Ah!

It was good to hang out outside all day--even with the rain--and now it feels good to throw the windows open and curl up under the covers.

A good day. Plus s'mores.
