B* has a fun post about her favorite movies and what draws her to them. i was going to post a list of my favorites but i find that really difficult to do--to choose.
so what i thought might be fun is my list of movies that i probably shouldn't like, but do. the cheesier ones that you can't help watching or, more embarassingly, quoting!
c'mon. 'fess up. what are your guilty movie pleasures?

lately i have been watching chasing liberty whenever i cruise by it while surfing channels. holy hannah does that man have some piercing eyes!
but the more classic cheesy movie list, in no particular order, and assuming i am leaving some out, looks like this:
any john hughes teen film from the '80s. you know 'em, you love 'em.
Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off (what? you don't say, "Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?"),and the classic Breakfast Club ("screws fall out all the time. the world's an imperfect place""can you decribe the ruckus?")
can't hardly wait (seth green...what can i say?)
crazy people ("who here wants to be a firetruck?") this is a silly little dudley moore movie that always makes me laugh.
knight's tale i have an unhealthy love of this cheesy movie. she creeps me out in this film, but i have to admit to quoting this one quite often. "Uh... trudging. You know, trudging?
[pause] To trudge: the slow, weary, depressing yet determined walk of a man who has nothing left in life except the impulse to simply soldier on." "I will fong you, until your insides are out, your outsides are in, your entrails will become your extrails I will w-rip... all the p... ung. Pain, lots of pain. ""I'm a writer. I give the truth scope!"
besides it has james purefoy and for you serenity fans out there it also stars alan tudyk. and naked chaucer!
galaxy quest i call people "crewman number 5" in every movie that we watch. this movie is just a fun sci-fi spoof.
national lampoon's family vacation c'mon, i call my husband "sparky." i felt bad listing this on the cheesy movie list. this is a classic. and it's holiday counterpart christmas vacation is the first holiday movie we watch every year.
i know there are many more, but those are what jumped to mind right away. so, what movies do you love that aren't exactly masterpieces of cinema?
