(and also, you are in big trouble if i ever get my hands on you...but that's a different story!)
thank you joss whedon for serenity. for giving us what was promised. for remembering that there is more to sci-fi than special effects. for believing that just because we can use cgi doesn't mean it needs to fill every screen. for knowing that characters and smart writing make a movie whether it is set in the old west or the distant future. and most of all thank you for being the best at what you are--a storyteller.
i can't wait to go and see it again. wanna go? i'll buy the popcorn!

random scattered thoughts since i am still trying to process everything:
the beginning was brilliant. f-ing brilliant. a recap that didn't insult the intelligence or memory of faithful fans--oh and one that made the boys jump out of their seats.
the characters weren't distorted for the sake of the big screen. and joss wasn't afraid to take risks with them. i will not say more because there is that one little thing that could make you angry with joss. but good on him for having the balls to do it.
i love that the boys knew what EMP stood for. i am training them well.
river--thank you for this character. a waif that looks like a deadhead, is crazy as a damn bug (could be her diet?), and weilds the sexiest blades around. c is in love.
my heart was broken. not just for storyline reasons but because i wonder if this is the last time we get to see this crew.
on a side note...when writing sfx crew or sfx trainers in the credits they might possibly want to choose a font that didn't make it look so much like sex trainers. and yes, i stayed for the credits.
i can't decide on a "best line" from a movie that made me snort soda more than once but kaylee may be runner up with her quip about battery powered fun.
lara, i feel your pain. told you you should shoot for the pretentious broody ones. so sorry...of course, inara is back...
