we saw it.

i won't ruin anything, although we all knew the ending...
i will say that it is the best of the three prequels, that knowing the end doesn't make it less exciting, and that for those of us who grew up afraid of darth vader's rasping breath...all the little hairs on your arms will be standing on end.

i need to see it again to have even the slightest bit of objectivity. this time was all about nostalgia and tying up all the loose ends. it was about watching through your hands as they covered your eyes, shaking your head to warn anakin even though you knew he wouldn't listen, and smiling and nodding every time you recognized a connection to the movies you grew up with.

and for those of us who remember travelling to the next town over so we could see it in a movie with that "new" surround sound...this movie brings some of that back. i can't wait to go see it again.
