i have always known that i don't listen to the "cool" music. i was never the first to catch on to a cool indy group, never knew what was hot. there are times, for example, when i have someone riding in the car who gives me the "what are you listening to?" look and i scramble to turn down the radio. but for the most part, it really doesn't bother me.
i just like what i like. i was a music major. i like things i can sing to. loudly. usually in the car or for the ups man. and this is why they would never give me my own radio station. i am just as happy with showtunes, swing, 80s, alternative.
so i loaded up the new mp3 player with some of my tunes and i set it to random and i giggle every time it plays one of my favorites as if some wonderful dj knew just what i wanted to hear.
here's the latest randomness...and yes, i get it, not cool. but i am happily singing and dancing around the kitchen.
