c is off to school even though the hubby had to turn around this morning and come home. roads are icy. people are stupid. bad combination. there are piles of cars all over the place.
we are still waiting to see if j's bus comes. there is no good way to tell if it will. i have called everywhere, but there is either no answer or people just aren't in yet since he has such a long ride to school. i love this school. the counselors are wonderful, he feels like he belongs and is doing well. but they seriously need to work on their communication skills. he went on two field trips in the last week that i didn't even know about!
concert last night went fairly well, nothing fell apart when i was conducting and i did manage to find something to wear. lol. it may not be the best concert i perform in in terms of musicality, but it is always a lot of fun.
tonight is the concert i am looking forward to. hopefully it will go well. we are the first ensemble so nerves won't be an issue and then i can relax and enjoy the rest of the evening.
drive safely everyone who is dealing with the ice and snow for the first time.
I heard about the roads. I was shocked - I went jogging this morning, and my local area was totally clean. But when R's bus driver came, he said how much of a mess Trenton was this morning, with ice and accidents all over the place.
Hopefully whatever ice there is will melt off quickly. It's more reliable to bet on that than to bet that people won't be stupid (yeah, I'm still pissed off about my car getting hit last week....).
Careful out there!
The ensemble concert was lovely. S especially enjoyed the Gaelic music, and C hung in there for the whole concert (the fact that he came of his own accord, when he knew that his dad was staying home with his little brother, was significant in its own right). Thanks for letting us know about it :)
