everybody's leaving...

i know. it's a sinking ship, but i hate to see the good guys leave...

jeromy burnitz traded to the dodgers for three minor leaguers

he turned it around this season and he was a met who played hard all the time. i am going to miss having him around to cheer for.

it is sad to see someone like that leave. but i think in the long run it will work out. if you had said that the mets could get rid of him at the beginning of the year for prospects and have someone pay part of his salary, i would have said you were crazy.

but he gets to go to a potential playoff contender, which will be nice for him. plus he'll be a free agent at the end of the year and the mets weren't going to give him salary arbitration.

though it's nice to see the young kids play and show their stuff. who knows? look at what the diamondbacks have been able to do!

oh no! i liked him!

is ANYONE on the team that was in the beginning of the season?

how am i going to learn this way?

this is what being a mets fan is like...part of the learning process :)

when i was a kid i learned how to cheer two things "let's go mets!" and "we'll get 'em next year!" lol.

i think the trade will be good for nitz, i am just sorry for the mets to lose a nice guy with a good work ethic that might have been a good influence on all the young guys they are trying to bring along.

I'm sorry to see 'Nitz go, but this is good for him. He's closer to home, and he's on a contender. With the way he has played, he deserves that.

just saw a report last nite that the mets are close to trading benitez (yay!) to the yanks (boo!). not only that, but apparently the yanks will pay the remainder of his salary.

what a bunch of suckers :P
