well, we are home. that long weekend? it got a bit longer when the truck decided to stop running on the way home. we wound up spending an extra few days in dublin. dublin, ohio. i know i have always said i wanted to go to dublin, but i was thinking more of the land of green, leprechauns and pubs, not the land of the daily tornado.

while we were there there were no less than two tornados. lights out, trees down, electric wires in the road. but we managed to make the best of the extra days and had a bit of fun. the kids swam like fish in the pool, which was really good for them. they had been a little nervous about pools since the accident last month. we also went to the local six flags (which maybe should only be one flag or so!) and the columbus zoo since our passes were good for both of those things. free entertainment. woohoo!

anyone notice the mets actually swept a series while i was out there? my record this season...4-1. i am not the jinx this year!! had a lot of fun with fellow mets fans in the new and snazzy stadium in cincinnati even if the hubby made us walk there from kentucky! (ok, it really wasn't that far, but we are still making him feel bad about it)

we are all a little tired and crabby after a further nine hours in the car yesterday. did i mention they never figured out what was the matter with the truck?? glad to be home though. now where i my house elves to go unpack that truck? i will pay them...i swear, and i will even give them socks. maybe.
