first day here was a little overwhelming in the morning. i felt out of place and odd and m kept introducing me around in odd ways.

"this is michelle. when she grows up she is going to be a medievalist too." grrrr.

so after the first panel of papers i ditched her and went on my own. that's when i started having a good time.

went to the exhibition hall where there were more books than i had ever seen on medieval lit and art and music and everything else and everything was discounted because of the conference. i am going to need another suitcase!!

went out afterwards with a couple of girls that i met. had fun. was brave and not anti-social. today should be fun now that i am in the swing of things.
