change of plans. in the "careful what you wish for" category: my sister and her hubby decided not to name the baby melissa. now for multitudes of reasons i wasn't keen on the name (mainly a horrific roommate experience in college. she was a were-poodle. really) so now...
melora marie. hmmm. pretty. different. never going to find it on one of those little license plates for bikes.
this is where it comes from (for anyone who is curious):
Melora
In the legend of The Visit of the Grey Ham this lady is described as the daughter of 'Arthur' (See Arthur), said to have been the wife of 'Sir Orlando of Thessali'.
Arthurian legend.
Their poor two year old daughter must have been a little confused when they brought the baby home. after a day or so of "baby melissa" they turn around and bring home "baby melora"
this could prove entertaining later in their lives.
"well, we used to have another child but she wouldn't listen (clean her room, do her chores, etcl) and you know what happened to her." lol.
