doesn't feel like friday

saw the new baby yesterday. forgot my camera so i swiped this from some pix that my parents took. (thanks!) melissa marie lavigne. 7lbs 2oz. everyone is happy and healthy and doing fine.

i also spent the day sick to my stomach. end of semester stress i would imagine. today may be friday but it is the beginning of the longest 6 days in the semester. finals and papers. i am going to lock myself in the library for a while this afternoon and get a jump on some of it. i may even have to *gasp* leave my wireless card at home. usually it isn't this crazy, but i have dress rehearsal tonight and the anniversary concert tomorrow so that is really going to cut into my time.

good news is that i got to look through the program for kalamazoo. i am sooo excited! going to a ton of great sessions. lollards and heretics. irish lit and landscapes. middle scots. chaucer. arthurian legends. and it appears that each evening there is an open bar! now all i have to do is get through the next few days productively.

oh, and the good news on the kid front is that i got to fire the pretentious condescending bitch doctor! go me! i talked to the pediatrician who is now going to handle the scripts and i don't ever have to see or hear from that woman again. it was the most fun i have had leaving a phone message in a long time.
of course, i was fairly grown-up about it and didn't leave quite the message that was running through my vindictive brain. but i made my point loud and clear and banned her from speaking with his other doctors or the school again.

hmmm. i also need to clean out the car at some point today. i am driving someone to dress rehearsal and they might be a little put off by french fries, chicken nugget, wrappers, matchbox car, action figure and crayon sculpture that the kids have created in the back. some people just don't appreciate cutting edge art.
