quick update on jim's week with the mets, my mets, the mets i grew up on...well with...well, the ones i know and love.
he had a great time and learned a lot of things. ron swoboda is like a vending machine - put in a beer and he will talk baseball for hours. john stearns has no filter between brain and mouth.
jim got a single in his game against the pros and a broken bat single that he proudly kept the remains of. he also came home with 5 jerseys (including the hideously bright new orange BP one), a certificate of achievement signed by all the pros (his team came in second) and a baseball signed by all the pros.
spring is right around the corner (thanks lara for my countdown!!) we are more than ready around here.
