Add it to the list

Thanks to Mental Multivitamin I have another book to add to the wishlist.

The Thirteenth Tale: A Novel - Diane Setterfield

Publisher's Weekly says, "Former academic Setterfield pays tribute in her debut to Brontė and du Maurier heroines: a plain girl gets wrapped up in a dark, haunted ruin of a house, which guards family secrets that are not hers and that she must discover at her peril."

Sounds like one for the R.I.P. Challenge.

And look! There's even a nifty website.

How about this for a group read? It might be more difficult since it only comes out next week but it does look like a good read. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I got my copy! I am already loving this book. Thought I would share the excerpt from the back cover:

My gripe is not with lovers of the truth but with truth herself. What succor, what consolation is there in truth, compared to a story? What good is truth, at midnight, in the dark, when the wind is roaring like a bear in the chimney? What you need are the plump comforts of a story. The soothing, rocking safety of a lie. --Vida Winter, Diane Setterfield's The Thirteenth Tale
